El Condor Pasa...
so we arrived in cordoba, stashed our bags in the baggage check, and went wandering around the city.
many churches, and a bunch of museums. we went into the museum of fine art, which was a lot smaller than either the A.G.O. or the V.A.G...i did a quick look around, as i kinda find museums boring if i dont know anything about the works in it. so the curator lady came over to me where i was sitting on the stairs waiting for lisa and tricia, and asked me what i thought of the museum. i told her once you´ve seen one you´ve seen them all, which prompted her to take us around the whole gallery and explain each piece. so that was really great - that way i can actually enjoy the art gallery, instead of mindlessly wandering around it and wishing my feet didn´t hurt.
then we got on a bus to take us to a nearby national park...the bus seriously dropped us off at the side of the highway where there was nothing to be seen anywhere. we hiked in, the park was a new one but the ranger was friendly, apparently we got there too late to make it all the way to where the condors fly. which really sucked, cuz i really wanted to see the birds flying up on the thermals...but oh well. guess it´ll have to be in bariloche. nice hike tho...the best part was at the end, when we dunked our heads and feet in a cool stream.
sat on the side of the highway for half an hour waiting for a returning bus, which we flagged down and returned to cordoba. we went out for dinner to a pasta restaurant recommended by lonely planet - the pasta was sublime (their words, not mine) and the sangria was uber great...just goes to show that if you make sangria with good wine instead of the cheapest stuff you can find it makes a difference.
then it was back to the bus station, and onto a bus to rosario...
